Join in the fun at Oboes on the Ohio, A Double Reed Festival!
OOTO encourages young double reed players to practice and perform, so we’ve added the Double Reed Idol Competition to our day-long festival. The competition will begin at 10 a.m. in the main auditorium in front of a live voting audience of OOTO attendees and judges William Baker and Patrick McFarland.
Contestants are encouraged to think outside the box – the sky’s the limit!
Contestants must register and purchase entry ticket in advance. Competition fee is $10 in addition to $20 admission fee to the festival.
The winner will be decided by our professional judges in combination with audience votes. Each OOTO attendee gets one vote, so contestants are encouraged to bring their friends, family and colleagues to increase their chance of winning!
A cash prize will be awarded to the winner. The winner may also have the opportunity to perform in the evening concert plus have the opportunity to hold a future recital in the Ariel Chamber Theatre.
Pre-register then follow the link on the registration page to purchase your entry!
